- A 3-ply Engineered wood plank is composed of 3 layers, a Base layer, a Core layer, and a Wear Layer.
- The Base layer is usually made from a durable plywood, the Core layer is made of a softwood and the Wear layer is made of a wood species of your choice.
- A 3-Ply Engineered is better with underfloor heating, due to less dense layers heat comes threw faster than a Multiply.

- A Multiply Engineered wood plank contains multiple layers of plywood for additional strength and durability.
- Multiply is made up of several layers which are bonded together using glue, are cross layered and compressed.
- An 18mm multiply can be fully fixed to the sub-floor either by being fully glued down or being secretly nailed threw the tongue and groove.

- A click system is a much easier way to install a floor and especially suited to DIY due to each plank clicking into place which also means no glue required.
- Click's are usually easier to be uplifted and re-fitted if required.
- Tongue and Grooves can be installed directly to the sub-floor without underlay maintaining a more solid feel underfoot.
